June Cement Industry refuses to return purchased land

The June Cement Industry Ltd will not return farmland purchased from locals in the Pyartaung area, Kyaikmayaw Township, Mon State and will continue with plans to implement its cement factory project, according to the director of the June Cement Industry Ltd.

The company’s director U Myint Soe stated the above in an interview with MNA on Tuesday [October 18], and added that the company is still submitting its report to the government, requesting for permission to use the farmland.
